A re-bid of the project and a new timeline

With the infusion of $250,000 from the earmark gained by US Representative Josh Riley, to add to the grants received thus far, we've been working with Starr-Whitehouse to revise Phase 1 and re-bid the project. We expect to publish the bid this month (May 2026).

Phase 1 renovations will include, among other things:

New benches

11 new trees

A temporary, flexible seating area at the park’s center (future site
of the fountain in Phase 2)

Additional lighting for greater safety

A re-positioned and accessible Veterans Memorial

New pathways

A draft timeline is attached.
